Told she might never walk again, Dr. Sarah Ruggins has just shattered the world record for cycling the length of the UK and back \u2014 covering 2,700km in 5 days, 11 hours, and 14 minutes. No man or woman has ever done it faster.<\/p>
In her teens, Sarah was a rising star in track and field with Olympic dreams. But at 15, a devastating autoimmune disease left her paralyzed \u2014 unable to walk, move, or even use her hands. She needed round-the-clock care and spent years rebuilding her body and spirit.<\/p>
Now 37, she\u2019s ridden from John o\u2019 Groats to Land\u2019s End and back, powering through 500km a day and climbing a total of 16,000 meters \u2014 reclaiming her strength, her freedom, and her story.<\/p>
Her ride wasn\u2019t just for the record books \u2014 it was for a cause.
