Jonas Vingegaard Hansen, born on December 10, 1996, is a Danish professional cyclist who competes for UCI WorldTeam Visma\u2013Lease a Bike. He is renowned for winning the Tour de France in both 2022 and 2023.<\/p>
Despite a slow start to his youth career, Vingegaard made his Grand Tour debut at the 2020 Vuelta a Espa\u00f1a. In 2021, he entered his first Tour de France and achieved an impressive second-place finish overall.<\/p>
In early 2022, he was named co-team captain of Team Jumbo\u2013Visma alongside Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d for the Tour de France. During the race, Vingegaard won the overall classification and the polka dot jersey, becoming the second Danish cyclist to win the Tour. He also set a record for the highest average speed throughout the race. In 2023, Vingegaard secured his second consecutive Tour de France general classification victory.<\/p>
